Tages Capital Appoints New CEO

Tages Capital, which has offices in London and Milan, has hired Jamie Kermisch as chief executive. Kermisch was most recently chief executive of Mariana Investment Partners, having previously served as group managing director at Fauchier Partners, an institutional fund of hedge funds asset manager. Prior to that, he spent a decade as managing director at Morgan Stanley. Subject to regulatory approval, Kermisch will join the London team this month. He replaces Sergio Ascolani, a founding partner of the firm who will remain involved with matters relating to Tages Holding. “He is a great hire for us as we continue to establish ourselves as one of Europe’s leading alternatives providers. Jamie’s breadth of knowledge and skills will be key to driving our ambitious plans for future growth,” said Panfilo Tarantelli, founding partner of Tages Group. “These include hiring a number of new investment teams across various investment strategies where we intend to invest $600 million of seed capital in 2016. We will also be strengthening our distribution capability for our innovative multi-manager solutions. In an increasingly volatile market environment, demand for our risk-controlled alternative investment portfolios remains strong across both institutional and wealth channels.” Tages Capital is an alternative multi-manager solutions business with around $2.2 billion in assets under management across 12 multi-manager funds and five segregated institutional mandates.
